This week there was an interesting event in the news that caught our attention! A private incident of a young political face, an act of forgiveness!
On March 19 Priyanka Vadra, daughter of late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi visited the sole survivor of the gang that was sentenced for killing her father at the Vellore Central Prison in Tamil Nadu. Priyanka wanted this to be a personal and private visit, yet the media has not been silent about it. However, the visit seems to have done something for Nalini - the sister of the suicide bomber who blew herself killing Rajiv Gandhi.

The Front page column in the Hyderabad Times News edition of 5 December 2007 reports that 4 senior students of Acharya N G Ranga Agricultural University were arrested for stripping a fellow student and beating up another, under the Andhra Pradesh Prohibition of Ragging Act, section 4(3). The fact that it happened during a night-party has made the accusation for ragging uncertain. It is possible that there were other reasons for this stripping and beating up!
